Andrew Silley

Managing Director
(UK-Wide)

Andrew is a co-founder of the ST1 Group and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry having progressed to senior management roles from a legal and quantity surveying background. He is a positive character, is solution driven and has an extensive background working within the retail, banking, leisure and commercial sectors, to name but a few. Andrew is also on the Board of the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce as a Non Executive Director.

BBC projects across the UK and Northern Ireland, Admiralty Arch, The Old War Office, Barclays (across Europe), PH Hotels and Selfridges.
Andrew is a confessed petrol head, loves all sports, which includes running a football club and coaching children’s football, and has a love of travel.

Phil Tyler

Managing Director

Phil is a seasoned construction industry professional with over 30 years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial management. As a Chartered Surveyor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), Phil brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ST1 Group. He is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, ensuring that ST1 Group continues to deliver exceptional results for its clients.
With a strong focus on healthcare, leisure, and commercial projects, Phil has been instrumental in delivering high-profile projects such as Addenbrooke’s Hospital, The Athletes’ Hockey Centre and Bisham Abbey
Football (Liverpool fan) and playing drums in a band.

Paul Miller

Director

With 15 years at ST1 Group and a strong background in quantity surveying, Paul brings a wealth of experience to our team. His expertise lies in fast-paced retail and fit-out projects, as well as complex change of use and ‘cut and carve’ developments.

Scott Neville

Scott joined ST1 Group 10 years ago as an apprentice and quickly became a valuable member of our team. With a focus on hotels, retail, and commercial projects, Scott brings a wealth of experience in fit-out and refurbishment.

Gabrielle Rooms

Director

With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Gabrielle joined ST1 Group in 2018 and quickly rose to the position of Director of our Northern branch. Her expertise lies in main contracting, with experience at Balfour Beatty, Galliford Try, ISG, and Morgan Sindall.
Successfully managed numerous projects, including Manchester Town Hall, Raddison Red Hotel in Liverpool and Manchester College and played a key role in the growth of ST1 Group’s Northern branch.
Mountain biking, rock climbing, wild swimming, reading and yoga.

Colin Barton

Director
(DRS)

Colin heads up our Dispute Resolutions team and brings over 40 years of experience in the construction industry to ST1 Group. His expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including commercial developments, high-end residential, social housing, hotels, training/conference facilities, and railway infrastructure and signalling. Colin is currently assisting clients with various disputes.

Working on iconic projects like Admiralty Arch, Old War Office. Royal Albert Dock, One Blackfriars, Marble Arch, Crossrail, and North West Cambridge – Eddington.

Family time and supporting his youngest son’s professional football career.
