One Blackfriars: Landmark Mixed-Use Development on the South Bank

ST1 Group played a key role in the construction of One Blackfriars, a striking 170-metre, 50-storey tower on London’s South Bank. The development includes luxury residential apartments, a boutique-style hotel, retail spaces, and a public piazza. Designed as an iconic addition to the city skyline, the project required precision and expertise in managing its complex construction elements.

Our team was engaged by Multiplex to quantify the concrete frame works following the insolvency of the original subcontractor. We provided detailed take-offs and revised Bills of Quantities to ensure project continuity. Our role later expanded to leading negotiations with the replacement contractor, overseeing all quantum-related matters as part of the procurement process. Through our expertise in cost management and contract negotiations, we helped maintain project momentum and financial control on this high-profile development.
